HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. -- Two men were arrested in a major drug bust in Harnett County over the weekend.

  • Raul Arreola and Aquileo Pineda are facing multiple charges of trafficking methamphetamine.
  • The 120 gallons of liquid methamphetamine would be converted to about 454 kilograms of crystal meth.
  • The drugs would have a street value of $90.8 million.

The sheriff's office says 49-year old Raul Arreola and 48-year-old Aquileo Pineda are facing multiple charges of trafficking methamphetamine.

When stopped in Linden on Saturday, authorities found more than 120 gallons of liquid meth stored in the driver's side fuel tank of Arreola's semi-truck.

Officials say the drugs have a street value of more than $90 million.

Both Arreloa and Pineda are being held in the Harnett County Detention Center on a $3 million bond.

An immigration detainer has been issued for Pineda. ICE is also looking into immigration status of Arreola.
