On Sunday, we saw less coverage of showers and thunderstorms around the area. As we start the new work and school week, our chances for showers and storms will increase on Monday.

With more moisture moving back into North Carolina over the next few days, we are expecting an increase in showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Most areas will see some clouds tonight with a chance for a few isolated showers and storms. That chance for showers and thunder will increase by Monday afternoon. This chance for showers and storms will continue into Tuesday.

By mid-week, the chances for precipitation should decrease a little and by the end of the week, we may see only a few scattered afternoon and evening showers and storms on Thursday and Friday.

Tropical moisture will increase again by next weekend, and by Saturday and Sunday, we are expecting an increase in showers and thunderstorms across the area.
