We had another hot day for Mother’s Day and it looks like Monday's weather will be pretty much the same; mostly sunny and hot with just a slight chance for a late day thunderstorm. Record highs we hit in Raleigh and Fayetteville Sunday, a record high is possible for Raleigh on Monday.

Heading into Tuesday and continuing through the rest of the week we are looking at an unsettled weather pattern that will favor more widespread showers and storms each afternoon and evening.

The clouds and rain we will see afternoon highs in the mid 80s, cooler than it has been, but still a little above what we normally expect this time of the year.
