DURHAM, N.C. -- Officials at Duke University have approved the operating budget for the next fiscal year.

  • $2.7 billion budget approved for next year
  • Funds will help will financial aid, academic initiatives, and building projects
  • Three new graduate programs added for health sciences, electrical and computer engineering, and critical Asian humanities

On May 12, the university's board of trustees approved a $2.7 billion budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. 

They say the funds will help with investments in financial aid, academic initiatives, and building projects.

The board of trustees also approved three new graduate degree programs for population health sciences, electrical and computer engineer, and critical Asian humanities.
