It has been a soggy start to the week. Many locations have received at least 2-4" of rain, and some localized flooding problems have arisen in response.

As an area of low pressure passes overhead today, we will have a swath of morning rain depart. In the wake of that morning rain, some scattered afternoon showers will be possible with highs close to 70. The sky will clear overnight with lows in the lower 50s.

There is one final disturbance that will roll through the region before an extended period of dry weather begins. I think most of us will squeeze in a dry Thursday before a round of rain works through tomorrow night.

Following that disturbance, dry weather will settle in Friday, and then I expect basically full sunshine this weekend through the middle of next week. Highs this weekend will be in the 70s Saturday and upper 60s Sunday, and then by Tuesday and Wednesday highs could approach 80. Nice stuff!
