Don't put away your umbrella just yet.  While we will not see as much rain in eastern North Carolina Wednesday as we saw Tuesday, scattered showers are possible in the afternoon.

Isolated storms are also possible. While the threat for severe storms appears to be very low, a few storms could produce small hail. To be classified as severe, a storm would have to produce hail around one inch in diameter or larger.

Because of the scattered nature of any showers and storms, rainfall amounts will vary greatly. Some locations may not see a drop of rain while other neighborhoods experience downpours.

Any showers and storms will come to an end by evening.

Wednesday's high temperatures will warm to the 70s.

Another chance for showers and a few thunderstorms is expected late Thursday night into Friday morning.
