The cooler temperatures that arrived for Friday will stick with us through the weekend.

A sunny but cool weekend is on tap for the Tar Heel State with another chance for patchy frost in some areas near the Virginia border Saturday morning, then look for afternoon highs to be 5-10 degrees below normal for both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Increasing clouds are expected late Sunday ahead of low pressure that will bring our next chance for rain during the first half of next week.  We could see a few showers during the day Monday, but rain chances increase as we head into Monday night into Tuesday.
