FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- A university in North Carolina is getting two donations worth $1.5 million.

Fayetteville State University announced Thursday the money will be used to its nursing and business programs.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is giving the school $1 million for the nursing program. The money will be used for scholarships and to help with access to care health care.

Brothers Dohn Jr., Charles and Richard Broadwell are giving the school $500,000 in memory of their parents, Dohn B. Broadwell Sr. and Charlotte L. Broadwell. 

The school plans to use the money for the College of Business and Economics for scholarships, the Center for Entrepreneurship and a speaker's series. The college will be named the Broadwell College of Business and Economics.
