RALEIGH-DURHAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT -- Travelers in the Triangle can soon enjoy more nonstop flights from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.        

The airport announced new seasonal flights Wednesday.         

Frontier Airlines will begin new flights to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Portland Maine and Syracuse, New York.

The carrier recently started flights to six other new cities from RDU including Houston, San Juan and New Orleans.

Last year, 11.6 million passengers, which is about 32,000 people per day, flew through RDU.
