Scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms are possible in central North Carolina through early afternoon Friday. That comes ahead of a front that will bring dry and pleasant conditions for the Easter weekend.

Look for mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies Friday afternoon. It will be breezy at times with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Clearing skies Friday night will allow temperatures to drop quickly through the night. Early Saturday morning will be a bit chilly with lows in the low 40s.

Plenty of sunshine Saturday will allow temperatures to warm to the upper 60s by the afternoon.

Temperatures on Easter Sunday will range from the 40s around sunrise to the low 70s by afternoon. Look for increasing clouds Sunday afternoon, but rain is not expected.
