MAXTON, N.C. – The names of four people killed in a crash in Maxton have been released.

It happened just after 8 p.m. March 29 on U.S. Highway 501 near Bethea Road.

The Highway Patrol said a Kia Soul and Ford Mustang collided head-on after the Kia crossed the center line.

Three people in the Kia were killed --  35-year-old Cathryn Ashley Crutchfield Hall, 10-year-old Cyani Crutchfield Hall and 13-year-old Tajzmah Crutchfield Hall. All were from Roanoke, Virginia.

The driver of the Mustang, 44-year-old Christopher George Locklear, of Laurinburg, was killed. A passenger in the Mustang suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers say speed was a factor in the crash.
