NORTH CAROLINA -- Three people have been arrested in Nash County after more than 50 homes for sale across central and coastal North Carolina were broken into. 

According to the Nash County Sheriff's Office, Thomas Glenn Wiggs, 44; Kimberly Dale Adams, 49; and Wesley Adam Narron, 26; have been arrested and charged with breaking into homes listed as for sale and stealing appliances in order to sell.

 

The sheriff's department reported Monday that the trio had targeted more than 70 houses in Nash, Craven, Cumberland, Franklin, Johnston, Jones, Onslow, Pitt, Wake and Wayne counties. 

Following a two-month investigation, the trio were arrested. 

The total value of the appliances stolen is estimated in excess of $100,000.
