The rain and snow from Monday is now long gone. We will see sunshine all day Tuesday.

The all day sunshine will not warm temperatures up very much though. After morning lows in the upper 20s and low 30s, highs will top out in the upper 40s to low 50s by afternoon. Wind gusts up to 20 or 25mph will make it feel a bit cooler.

Tuesday's highs will be a little more than 10 degrees below average for March 13. It's still warmer than Monday though. The high only reached 38 Monday at the Raleigh-Durham Airport. That set a new record for the coldest high temperature for the date.

Chilly weather will stick around for Wednesday. Highs may only warm to the mid and upper 40s. A weak disturbance passing through the state could produce an isolated flurry or sprinkle in the morning, but most of the day will feature just a mix of sun and clouds.
