RALEIGH -- A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of our viewing area today.

Many schools dismissed early to avoid buses being caught up in the wintry mix.

As the temperature drops overnight, it is likely that we'll see slick spots on roads.

Snow flurries started flying in Person County late Monday morning.

The Roxboro area could get up to 2 inches of snow by the time the storm moves out.

In the immediate Raleigh area, only a trace to a half an inch is expected.
