MATTHEWS, N.C. -- With the flu causing 200 deaths in North Carolina so far this season, it's more important than ever to get vaccinated.

Thanks to Novant Health and the Mecklenburg County Health Department you can do that for free Monday.

The pair have teamed up to host a flu shot clinic at no cost. It's scheduled 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center located on Matthews Township Parkway.

No appointments are needed.
