GREENSBORO, N.C. -- With a recent $10,000 reward from Gov. Roy Cooper, police are hoping to find answers on the murders of Asia Brown and her 2-year-old son Ashton.

Their bodies were found in the trunk of a burned car in Greensboro on Feb. 23, 2015.

The last time Asia Brown was seen alive was at an AutoZone on Randleman Road -- days before their bodies were found.

At that time, her son, Ashton, was not seen inside the store with her.

"If somebody saw the child that afternoon, or kept the child, that would be very important for our investigation to know. And if they saw Asia or Ashton brown after or around 3:30 that afternoon that would be very important,” said Cpl. Mike Matthews of GPD’s homicide squad.
