CLINTON, N.C. -- A Correction Enterprise employee is facing charges after authorities say he was found with marijuana and other contraband inside Sampson Prison.

Correctional staff reportedly found 42-year-old Christopher Bishop with 59 grams of marijuana, cell phones and tobacco in the facility laundry room.

The Clinton Police Department has charged Bishop with providing contraband to an inmate and providing products to an inmate.

Bishop has been an employee with the Correction Enterprise for 3.5 years.
