We get to trade our coats and jackets for t-shirts through the rest of the work week! Don't put your coat too far away though. You'll need it again this weekend.

Look for mostly cloudy to partly sunny conditions Thursday afternoon as temperatures soar to the mid 70s across central North Carolina. Lows will then only drop to around 60 and the low 60s for late Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Highs will return to the 70s Friday with a few spots in the Sandhills topping out near 80.

A cold front approaching from the north Friday will bring spotty showers to the region from late afternoon into the evening. Then much colder air will arrive behind the front Friday night.

Temperatures will drop to the 40s by Saturday morning and will likely stay in the 40s all day. Rain showers will likely return for Saturday afternoon and evening.
