NORTH CAROLINA -- The winter weather is impacting air travel across the state.

Dozens of flights at RDU, CLT and a good amount of flights at PTI in the Triad have been canceled or delayed.

Flights will change throughout the day, so the biggest piece of advice is to check with your airlines if you plan to fly.

Also, officials advise trying to get to the airport at least two hours before your flight leaves.

Planes are being de-iced before takeoff, and runways are being cleared throughout the day.

Inclement weather can mean airport staffing is lighter, meaning it might take longer to check in, go through security, etc.
