RALEIGH -- After two days of cancelled classes last week, Wake County Public Schools students are back in the classroom Monday.

However, there are two schools that will still be closed.

Sunday evening, the district sent a tweet saying all schools would be back in session Monday except for Apex Middle School and Fox Road Elementary School because of issues with the heating system.

Last week, slick roads due to icy conditions were a top concern which is why school was cancelled Thursday and Friday.

This weekend, mechanics tested out all of the school buses that sat idle during the school closures.

They were making sure vehicles were ready to hit the road.
