ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. -- A recent vote in Rockingham County will shuffle elementary school students to some new buildings next fall.

Students from Draper will be divided between Lincoln and Central Elementary Schools, while students from the New Vision School will move to Dillard.

Some parents are worried about their kids dealing with not only a huge transition, but also a change in schedules.

"My kindergartener is already frightened about it, just with the thought of moving to a new facility but with operating the two schedules, it's going to be different," said parent Jennifer Joice. "He's afraid."

The next school board meeting will be on Jan. 8 where parents will have the opportunity to speak out during an open-mic session.
