RALEIGH – Dozens of students at N.C. State University are sick with norovirus.

According to the university, approximately 60 students have exhibited symptoms.

Most of them live in Alexander Hall, although several students that live in other on and off-campus locations have symptoms as well.

Officials say that Student Health is “actively working with University Housing to contact all identified sick students who live on campus to check on their health and needs.”

They’ve also provided wellness kits with liquids and easy-to-digest foods for affected students.

Those exhibiting symptoms have been told to remain in their residences until their illness is gone in order to not spread the virus.

In addition, housekeeping staff has increased their cleaning operations until the illness passes.
