IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. -- Iredell County fire marshals are investigating a deadly fire.

A man's body was found inside a mobile home on Loggerhead Road in Cool Springs Sunday morning.

His friend said he was a good man.

"He's going to be missed sorely," said friend James Clark. "Any man trying to do the right thing, you know he's going to be missed. He was a gentle and honest man."

Authorities have not released the victim's name or said how the fire started.
