CONCORD -- The kitchen staff at a Concord restaurant spent their thanksgiving morning handing out food to anyone who just wanted a hot slice of turkey.

From turkey, to stuffing, to even sweet potato casserole -- the crew at Nonna's Italian Restaurant in Concord spent 14 hours preparing this Thanksgiving feast.

For Tim Stansbury, the tradition is personal. He says he struggled himself with homelessness in the past.

“The hardest thing to deal with out on these streets is the feeling of loneliness and feeling like no one loves you and you don’t exist. I’ve seen so many cases where something as simple as a plastic fork makes someone feel human,” said Stansbury

The event was such a success this morning, the group says they are planning to continue the tradition on Christmas Day as well.
