NATIONWIDE -- USA Today released the number one city in each state with the highest levels of binge and excessive drinking.

According to the CDC, excessive drinking includes binge drinking (four or more drinks in a single occasion for women and five or more for men) and heavy drinking (which is defined as at least eight drinks per week for women and 15 for men).

The report says Jacksonville, NC has the highest level of metropolitan cities, with 1 in every 5 adults drink excessively.

Also, 35.1 percent of driving fatalities are alcohol related, more than both the comparable 32.3 percent statewide and the 30 percent U.S.

North Dakota was named the highest for state adults binge or heavy drinking at 24.7 percent, and Tennessee named the lowest at 11.2 percent.
