RALEIGH -- The 2017 Raleigh Christmas Parade had thousands of people lining downtown streets to see what this year's parade had to offer on Saturday.

From the looks and sounds of it, people of all ages enjoyed every minute of the festivities.

Raleigh's Christmas Parade is the largest parade between Washington D.C. and Atlanta.

Some people in the crowd say the show is well-worth the wait every year.

"It was worth the time, time well spent with the family in downtown Raleigh," said attendee Nikki Hinnant.

The parade has been going on for 73 years.
