HENDERSON, N.C. -- An officer-involved shooting in Henderson ended with two people in custody and one person still on the run Saturday.

Henderson Police say they were responding to another incident at a home on Orange Street Saturday morning when they heard gunshots.

Officers located a 33-year-old woman shot near the intersection of Walnut Street and Pettigrew Street.

Investigators say a gold Lexus they had reason to believe was involved in the shooting sped toward them, and the officer deployed his weapon in defense.

The driver of the car was wounded in the incident and taken into custody along with one other passenger. Another passenger in the car managed to escape and is still on the run.

The SBI is investigating.
