AUSTIN, Texas - Whole Foods plans to hire thousands of people on Nov. 2.

The Austin-based company says on that day it'll host a national hiring event at all of its stores with the goal of hiring 6,000 new employees.

Whole Foods is offering full- and part-time jobs for both seasonal and permanent positions. Candidates can apply to be cashiers, culinary experts and food specialists.

Those who are interested can visit any Whole Foods grocery store on Nov. 2, where they will be interviewed and could be hired on the spot.
