ORANGE COUNTY -- A North Carolina high school football player that was severely hurt during a football game this season has been moved to another facility.

Officials say Orange High School 14-year-old football player Thys Oldenburg was hurt when he was tackled during a junior varsity game in October.

He was placed in a medically-induced coma after being rushed to Duke Hospital.

Now, Thys is off the ventilator and is breathing on his own according to his family. The new facility specializes in helping children overcome various illnesses and injuries.

His family has created a GoFundMe page to support his medical bills.
