CARRBORO -- During a special meeting Monday night, Carrboro town leaders adopt the state's  so called “brunch bill.”

Their new ordinance mimics the state's so-called "brunch bill,” a new law that gives cities and counties the option to begin selling alcohol at 10 a.m. on Sundays instead of noon.

Local business owners says they're ready to cash in on the two-hour extension.

Carrboro's new ordinance takes effect this Sunday.

Our state's new alcohol law also includes pro-craft brewer and distiller provisions, like allowing free tasting at special events and selling up to five bottles of liquor to anyone who tours the distillery.
