GARNER, N.C. -- Garner police have arrested a suspect after a fatal domestic dispute that happened at a motel Sunday evening.
Officers say 40-year-old Lakesha Johnson is charged with voluntary manslaughter for the fatal stabbing of 49-year-old Derrick Shaw.
It happened at the In Town Suites in the 1400 block of U.S. Highway 70 around 6:45 p.m.
Shaw later died at the WakeMed hospital
The incident is still under investigation but no other arrests are expected.
