NATIONWIDE -- There is some good news for recent college graduates seeking employment in the Triangle.

According to a new study by ZipRecruiter, Raleigh and Cary are the 10th best cities in the nation for college graduates seeking employment this year.

To compile the list, ZipRecruiter examined two main factors: the availability of entry-level jobs in cities across the U.S. and the ratio of open entry-level college jobs to the number of applicants for those jobs.

The study’s statistics show the top industry in Raleigh-Cary is health care, the top job is registered nurse, the unemployment rate is a low 4.3 percent and the median rent is $1,387.

Nationwide, the top industry is technology and top job market is Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington.

Furthermore, roughly 78.9 percent of 2,000 new grads interviewed are optimistic they will find a job.
