CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- For an authentic experience, you go to the source!

“This is going to be a different experience from your typical American pizzeria experience,” Inizio Pizza owner Grant Arons said.

Inizio Pizza uses Italian-harvested ingredients to create authentic neapolitan pizzas.

Buffalo mozzarella from the Campagna region, tomatoes grown at the base of Mt. Vesuvius, and flour shipped directly from Italy.

“And for us it's all about the crust,” Arons said.

The dough sits in a temperature controlled room to ferment for about 12 hours, then cooled for several days before it’s time to cook.

Placed in a 900-degree wood-fire oven, it takes just 90 seconds to cook a pizza.

“When you walk into our doors it’s like walking into a pizzeria in Napoli,” Arons said. “And it's just bright and filling and wonderful.”
