Our guests talk about how far the Carnival has come since moving to Brooklyn in the 1960s, and where they hope it will go in the future.  What started as a parade for and by the Trinidadian community eventually embraced the Jamaican community.  Now Haitians, who have marched in the parade before, will march in costume for the first time, another big step in opening up the festivities for all Caribbean communities.
