MORRISVILLE, N.C. -- Thanksgiving is just around the corner next week, but that's not stopping many from getting into the winter holiday spirit this weekend. through a fun family series of events. 

A Winter Wonderland is taking over the Triangle, featuring free train rides, live music, an acapella group, a magical winter lights show, snow, sledding, and even a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Morrisville’s Park West Village Shopping Center is hosting the Winter Wonderland, a unique three-day festival for the whole family.  Spokesperson Conner Dixon says not only are they encouraging families to come out for the fun, but they’re also asking you to shop local and help support local businesses. Dixon also says their 3-D mapping, is a one-of-a-kind display unique only to their location in North Carolina and features elves, toys, and holiday fun on the front of Stone Theaters Park West 14’s 50-foot-tall facade.

The snow and sledding is only taking place on Friday night, but the fun will last through Sunday. A Winter Wonderland is open Friday- Sunday, November 16-18 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.  For more information visit their website or Facebook page.
