RALEIGH – He made us laugh and even cry during his nearly 10 year run as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. But over the last two decades since, actor and comedian Tim Meadows hasn’t slow down a bit.

The reserved, but often smiling, Meadows sat down with Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair as he recalled some of the legends in comedy that helped shape his career and the funny man he is today. Meadows says he looked up to comedians like Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks, and continued to improve his craft alongside legends like Steve Martin and Adam Sandler.

We’ve grown to love his sketch comedies like ‘The Ladies Man,’ and his dryer but still wildly funny roles in shows like Brooklyn Nine Nine as an everyday guy who happens to be a cannibal, and as Mr. Glascott in The Goldbergs

Through it all, the Chicago-based father says he has no plans to slow down anytime soon.  He’s performing at Goodnight’s Comedy Club in Raleigh February 9 and 10 at 7:30 and 10 p.m. For time and ticket information visit their website
