RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -- Republican candidate Greg Seabolt has defeated Libertarian candidate Eric Hicks in the race for Randolph County sheriff.

 

Seabolt won with more than 82 percent of the vote. 

Greg Seabolt has been in the field of law enforcement for 30 years. He began his career as a trooper with the North Carolina Highway Patrol and was named Trooper of the Year in 2009.

In 1999, he created Operation Red Sleigh, an organization in the county that helps under-privileged children and families during Christmas by serving meals.
