The event was originally planned for mid-October but was pushed back in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.

Many shop owners say Saturday's weather atmosphere and turn out was worth the wait.

"This is our first year at this event," said David Brown of Graybeard Creations. "We are just really excited to get a jump start on the holiday sales here in downtown Wilmington."

With holidays approaching, vendors say they like having the festival, this time of year and are excited to see how sales turn out.

If you missed out on Saturday's activities, the festival will continue November 18.
