High pressure remains in the region, but it's on it way out. As the high slowly tracks offshore to the northeast, clouds will gradually build in. Today will still feature plenty of sunshine, highs will be similar to Saturday ranging from the upper 50s to mid 60s. After sunset, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies. A few showers are possible, mainly for south and eastern North Carolina. This includes the Sandhills area and areas along and east of I-95.

We'll keep rain chances elevated through the first half of Monday. A cold front will likely sweep across the state Monday evening. Ahead for the front we'll likely deal with scattered showers out ahead of the front. Temperatures will not drop after Monday's front due to a second front scheduled to move through Tuesday.

The second cold front will be mositure-deprived so no rain is expected. A much cooler, drier air-mass will be ushered in thanks to Tuesday's front and highs will drop into the mid 50s Wednesday and lower 50s for Thanksgiving. Also for those of you planning to participate in Black Friday shopping, expect sunrise temperatures Friday in the upper 20s.
