Winds reached up to 90 miles per hour, strong enough to break power line poles along East Fort Macon Road in front of Sands Villa Resort Condominiums. MasTec utility crews responded around 7 a.m. to restore power.

In a mobile home community next door, a resident lost part of her deck to the winds.

“This is the worst thing I ever felt. And the walls to my bedroom last night were shutting in. I was just waiting for the top to blow off,” said Diane Robinson, a 30-year resident of Atlantic Beach.

Across from her property, two small sheds could be seen dismantled and toppled from the tornado's wind. No injuries were reported.
