It was a colder than normal weekend and it appears this trend is not going to break anytime soon.

Temperatures aren’t expected to make it out of the 40s today but, the real weather headline this week will be the soaking rains that are anticipated.

Rain will move into the Triad midday today and continue into tonight, through Tuesday and likely into Wednesday and Thursday too. Several inches of rain are expected during this time frame, which could cause flooding concerns around the area, especially by midweek.

Temperatures will also stay quite chilly, topping out in the mid 40s to low 50s through Thursday.

Drier weather will eventually arrive to end the work week on Friday and with it, will come highs in the mid 50s. The upcoming weekend is also expected to be on the dry and sunny side. Saturday could be our warmest day with highs making a run for the upper 50s.  By Sunday, chillier air will move back in with highs dropping back into the upper 40s.
