GREENSBORO, N.C -- The maker of Narcan, an anti-overdose drug, is donating two doses to local library branches across the country.

  • The Greensboro Public Library is looking over the specifics before they accept the donation
  • They want to learn more information about training, use, and how to recognize when someone needs the drugs
  • About 2,700 local YMCAs were also offered the complimentary doses

The Greensboro Public Library is looking over the specifics before they accept the donation. Facilities Manager Jim Young says they want to learn more information about training, use, and how to recognize when someone needs the drugs.

If they do accept, Young says it will help the Greensboro Public Library continue to be a safe place for the public. He anticipates a quick turn around from acceptance to installation.

About 2,700 local YMCAs were also offered the complimentary doses.
