INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. – Union County deputies are investigating the discovery of a body in Indian Trail.

They say the body of 28-year-old Robert Puckett was found in the woods off of Van Buren Drive.

The Midland man worked nearby for Smith Ground Management.

Investigators are working to learn how long Puckett has been dead and if he died where his body was found.

The medical examiner will determine his cause of death.
