GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA -- Periods of rain will come and go Wednesday, with the biggest impacts from Hurricane Michael coming Thursday in the Triad.

Wednesday will be very humid and cloudy, with highs in the upper 70s. Expect periods of rain throughout the day. It will start to get a bit breezy Wednesday night, but we could see a brief break in the rain. Then as the center of Michael begins to move out of South Carolina and into North Carolina Thursday morning, our conditions will start to deteriorate. Widespread rain and strong gusty wind expected for Thursday afternoon and evening. A few showers could linger very early Friday, before dramatic clearing.

Cooler, fall weather returns this weekend. Morning lows in the 40s with afternoon highs in the upper 60s to near 70s for the weekend. Monday will be a bit warmer, with highs in the mid to upper 70s, ahead of another cold front that will bring us a few showers and cooler weather by Tuesday and Wednesday.
