THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Police are looking for two men they say are responsible for slashing almost 20 car tires early Saturday morning  in Thomasville.

  • Investigators say 17 cars were hit at different locations
  • One victim said she spent $150 on a new tire
  • Police say the total cost in damages to all of the cars is $1,900

Investigators say 17 cars were hit at different locations including Randolph Street and Colonial Drive.

Spectrum News spoke to Holly Cardwell, who lives on Colonial. She woke up Saturday morning to a flat tire. She says buying a new tire isn't cheap and she spent about $150 on a new one.

"It's like, do y'all not have better things to do than to ruin people's lives? Because a lot of those people don't have the money to replace those tires and it's just sad," said Cardwell.

Police say the total cost in damages to all of the cars is $1,900.

Surveillance video from a nearby store caught the suspects on camera. Thomasville Police say to call 336-475-7755 or Crime Stoppers to leave an anonymous tip.
