DURHAM, N.C. -- Natasha Taylor pleaded guilty to felony death by motor vehicle for a head-on collision in April of 2017 that killed 18-year-old Myiah Andrews, an NCCU freshman.

Taylor is sentenced to a maximum of seven years in prison.

The judge encouraged Andrew's family, friends and those in the car with her to live life in her honor. "The tragedy, no court can fix, no sentence will fix but you do have the opportunity to be the change agent," said Judge Carolyn Thompson.

"I appreciate the judge for acknowledging that it doesn't bring us Myiah back of course but it does help us to have some closure and to move and try to work on trying to get ourselves back together," said Myiah's mother Tonya Andrews.
