BURLINGTON-- The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas is working to replenish its blood supply, after more than 20 scheduled blood drives in the Triad were canceled ahead of Hurricane Florence. The organization says that translates to a loss of about 550 units of blood.

"Our primary concern is to take care of our folks that we primarily keep inventory for, but certainly once we make sure our hospitals are taken care of, absolutely we would help in any way we could on the coast," said Gary Brant, CBCC’S donor recruitment representative.
