CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Following the devastating effects of Hurricane Florence on southeast North Carolina, 36 dogs from a flooded shelter in Robeson County have been moved to the Humane Society of Charlotte.

  • 36 dogs from a flooded shelter in Robeson County have been taken to the Charlotte Humane Society.
  • Some of the dogs are already up for adoption.
  • The puppies need to stay with their mom a little bit longer. 

The dogs, many of which are just puppies, arrived in the Queen City Monday night.

The Humane Society says it tries to help out other people when it can.

 

 

 Emily Cook, who works there,says they’ve had situations before as well and that sometimes you need someone to lean on.

Some of the dogs are already eligible for adoption, but the puppies need to stay with their mother for a little bit longer.
