DURHAM, N.C. -- A driver was taken into custody after a wreck involving a Durham school bus.

  • Crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Friday.
  • Police: Car ran stop sign which caused crash.
  • No injuries were reported.  

It happened at the intersection of Alston Avenue and Juniper Street just after 6:30 a.m. Friday.

Police said a car ran a stop sign which caused the school bus, which had children on board, to swerve to avoid hitting the car. The school bus then hit a GoDurham bus.

The driver of the car that ran the stop sign was arrested on an outstanding warrant. It’s not known exactly what he was wanted for.

No one was injured.
