However, unlike others, Postmates offers choices beyond food delivery.

Retail, pharmacies, grocery stores, as well as chain and local restaurants are all options for users.

Emma Keys is one of the restaurants that will use Postmates.

The owner, Gene Bordinger, says his business has benefited from using outside apps.

"The delivery systems have definitely helped, especially during the week for lunchtime orders. I think it makes it easier for people," Bordinger said.

Riley Smith and Kaitlin King hadn't heard of Postmates, but both think it will be useful.

"It would definitely help you out if you were busy and needed to spare some time."
